Terms

Terms and conditions

Please read these terms before ordering. They explain how quantities, prices, delivery and cancellations work.

1. About these terms

These terms apply to every order placed with Simply Flooring Experts through this website. Placing an order confirms that you accept them. Nothing in these terms removes your statutory rights as a consumer.

2. Products and samples

Wood is a natural material, so colour, grain and knot character vary between boards and between production batches. Photographs and samples are representative but not exact. We recommend ordering a sample and, where colour match matters, ordering all of the flooring you need in one go so it comes from the same batch.

3. Quantities and the calculator

Our quantity calculator converts the area you enter into whole packs and adds an allowance for cutting waste. It is an estimate to help you plan; you remain responsible for the quantity you order. For complex rooms, diagonal or herringbone layouts, ask us to check your measurements before you buy. Flooring is sold in whole packs.

4. Prices and VAT

Prices are shown in pounds sterling. The price you pay is the price confirmed at checkout, and we re-check every basket against our current prices before payment is taken. Any VAT treatment is shown in the order summary at checkout and on your confirmation. Delivery charges are shown separately before you pay.

5. Orders and acceptance

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we confirm the order and payment has been received. If an item turns out to be unavailable or mispriced we will contact you and offer an alternative or a full refund.

6. Delivery

Delivery times and charges are set out on our delivery page. Someone must be available to receive and check the delivery, and deliveries are typically kerbside. Please do not book a fitter until your flooring has arrived and been inspected.

7. Cancellation and returns

Your cancellation and return rights are set out on our returns page, including the 14-day cancellation period for online orders and the exceptions that apply to cut-to-order and bespoke items.

8. Acclimatisation and installation

Wood flooring must be acclimatised and installed in line with the manufacturer's instructions, including subfloor preparation, moisture testing and expansion gaps. We are not responsible for problems caused by incorrect storage, unsuitable site conditions or installation not carried out to those instructions. Where we carry out the installation, the work is covered by our own workmanship guarantee.

9. Warranties and liability

Products carry the manufacturer's warranty, which covers manufacturing defects and not normal wear, damage or incorrect installation. We are responsible for loss you suffer as a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms, but not for indirect losses such as lost income, and nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Complaints and law

If something is wrong, contact us with your order number and photographs where relevant, and we will put it right. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
